Should Canada raise taxes on the rich?
Australia currently has a progressive tax system whereby high income earners pay a higher percentage of tax than low income tax. A more progressive income tax system has been proposed as a tool towards reducing wealth inequality.

Yes, raise taxes on the rich to 95-100% of their income for the top 1/10th of 1% and the lower 9/10th of 1% to 90-94% taxation. People making under $1 billion should be taxed 88-90% of their income and under $500 million should be taxed 85-88% of their income. People making under $100 million should be taxed 80-84.9% of their income, people making under $50 million should be taxed 75-80% of their income and under $1-10 million should be taxed 73-75% of their income and non-millionaires should be taxed at 70-73% for $500,000 and under down to $100,000. Middle class people should be taxed 10-69% of their income and people at working-class and below should pay 5-9.99% of taxation.

No, instead make it so that everyone is basically paying the same amount.

tax everyone the same no matter if your rich or poor.

Yes, at 100% taxation. Confiscate their wealth and redistribute it.

I believe the tax rate should be higher for large corporations and remove all existing tax loopholes for those companies.

Increase tax for anyone making over a million a year.
@8TB88K64yrs4Y
Lower the tax a bit on people who make less than $50,000 a year and raise it a little on people who make more than 130,000 a year so the government still makes the same amount of money

Yes, millionaires and billionaires have caused lots of economic inequality and they should be taxed at 75% for millionaires and 85% for billionaires.
Increase taxes for the rich, remove existing tax loopholes, and reduce taxes for the poor

Taxing someone should be based on income and their outflow of cash. Makes no sense taxing someone poor or someone who makes a lot but also spends alot, especially if theyre spending benefits the country.
