Should Canada raise taxes on the rich?
Australia currently has a progressive tax system whereby high income earners pay a higher percentage of tax than low income tax. A more progressive income tax system has been proposed as a tool towards reducing wealth inequality.

Corporate taxes should be raised rather than putting higher tax on individuals who are working hard for their money, whether they be high or low income. Massive corporations shouldn't be receiving as many tax breaks as they do, and should have to be more accountable for the large amount of environmental degradation that they're responsible for.

Income tax rate is fine but remove the existing loopholes for the rich getting richer

Yes, to a reasonable degree. Rich people aren’t some enemy to target, and shouldn’t be treated like one.
Perhaps a new “rich” tax should be implemented and voted upon by both the rich/poor, to best decide how to utilize those new funds (subsidized housing, groceries, necessities, etc.)

Increase for the rich, decrease for the working middle class and no taxes for the poor (below $30 000/yr) lower income tax rate, remove all existing tax loopholes for all corporations

No because we are all equal and just because they have more money to give dosent mean they should spend it on taxes if you want you can make sure they all support at least one charity maybe two. But if you want you can lower the tax to the poor because then they have more money to take care of themselfs/family

Increase corporate taxation, lower individual taxes (under 200k annual income)

Taxation is theft. The Government should find it's own way to recieve income.
@8SXWSX44yrs4Y
that would all depend on the situation
@8RPMRSS4yrs4Y
Yes, but the rich has to be defined more clearly. I would determine rich to be a median household income on $250,000 a year or greater

Corporations, not individuals should be taxed more
Only on the richest. As in over 1million a year or something like that.

@8K5QB2B5yrs5Y
Yes, raise the taxes for the rich, and lower the taxes for the poor
