Yes, the more money you make, the more taxes you should pay to make up for people unable to pay such high taxes with a low income. So poor people should have lowered taxes and richer people should have higher taxes.

 @9JQ8YN2Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

depending on how much the eprson make a year, should be the reason for how high or how lower their taxes

 @9J7VVDJConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

All the individuals should get an equal rights. Government can't raise the taxes for rich and decrease the rate for poor because to maintain country's economy balance; there should be equality.

 @9J73G5HConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I’d say cut 2/3 of the wage for all people in the House of Commons and keep the TAX how it is now for the rich

 @9GYC866Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

When it comes to really rich people who get out of paying tax or paying little to no tax I think that they should also pay

 @9G8G56QConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

The tax brackets need to be adjusted to reflect current economic times and inflation rates, high income earners should be taxed accordingly however middle class earners are taxed beyond their means in most Cases.

 @9FR2W9PConservativefrom Connecticut  answered…2yrs2Y

It is probably more equitable to have a graduated income tax rate based on earnings. The problem with this is the wealthiest earners have access to an array of accountants, lawyers and financial advisors, and are able thus to avoid taxes and the equitable amount of tax they should pay.

 @9V9R5P2Conservativefrom Quebec  answered…7mos7MO

I don’t think the Canadian government should raise taxes on the rich but rather take away all the ways that rich people can get away with tax breaks.

 @9RVGGSKConservativefrom Saskatchewan  answered…9mos9MO

The government should implement a tax system which rewards hard work. But also make sure that the government has enough money to operate. Also the government should have a fairer tax system that makes people who are in the top 1% of income brackets who pay no taxes, pay their fair share.

 @9J4JGWRConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Reform tax at all levels. Find new ways for the government to generate revenue other than heavily taxing the citizen

 @9D8CP57Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

No. Replace the current structure with a flat tax on your income and property only. No sales tax.

 @9D8647BConservativefrom Manitoba  answered…2yrs2Y

Freeze the taxes were they are and do not spend more money then the goverment takes in

 @9SSDMCQConservativefrom Alberta  answered…8mos8MO

impose higher taxes on the ultra-rich, not on the upper or upper-middle class. Tax old money and multi-billionaires

 @9BMDJJNConservativefrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

 @925JS2LConservativefrom Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

Reevaluate current brackets to reflect inflation and introduce a new bracket at the top

 @8WV5GLWConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Tax shouldn't be a thing and could be dealt with easy it was made in ww1 when needed

 @8WBKNCQConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, instead everyone should give 2.5 percent of their money that they have to charity every year.

 @8VMP336Conservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Increase taxes to cooperations and overly rich Steer away from tickle down economics

 @8VL2QR7Conservativefrom Newfoundland  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VHFYPMConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Add a slight increase for the rich. For the corporations, no increase as they will just increase prices, shipping or other fees, or could use tax havens to escape the increased taxes.

 @8VH9LRVConservativefrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

A lot of rich people are aware or potential tax evading mechanics. I suggest that the government changes the way they tax rich people and raising the taxes. In Canada, rich people are being tax properly based on the % that they earn.

 @8VH2TZWConservativefrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

Reform to flat tax rate for personal income taxes and small businesses with less than $750 000 per year in revenue.

 @8V92GSWConservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

it really depends what rich people do because it should be equally substancial.

It depends. Some people just get there parents money and have barely any taxes to pay, but other people are working hard for their money and don't deserve to be taxed as heavily.

 @8T3T55PConservativefrom Ontario  commented…4yrs4Y

A percent tax already means the rich contribute more to taxes. The taxes are so high for the rich people will stop working hard to improve industry if you take away the financial incentives. That’s why the communists tend to starve to death.

 @8SHNCN4Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SBKV4FConservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

everyone pays the same tax rate. Nobody should be allowed to not pay taxes.

 @8Q9SRXSConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

i believe that things need to be fair so i believe that you set a tax for everyone and keep

 @8PRWKQNConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8KF7TDCConservativefrom Nova Scotia  answered…5yrs5Y

No, increasing taxes only incentivizes the rich to find loopholes not to pay any taxes

 @8J736NRConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…5yrs5Y

There are so many loopholes with the rich, this would not make a difference

 @8G5PZTWConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…5yrs5Y

Only subsidize businesses teaching poor people skills and making environmentally friendly decisions. Cut other subsidies and welfare for overall economic freedom.

 @8DZDCXHConservativefrom Ontario  answered…5yrs5Y

no and give 600 000 dollar tax breaks for them to give more money to their employes.

 @8DJSLQ2Conservativefrom British Columbia  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes. However, at the same time, lower the taxes of the lower class people.

 @9C7ZMY7Conservativefrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

I think taxes should be lowered. The taxes should increase by a percentage that makes sense with income

 @995ZSF6Conservativefrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @994M4CVConservativefrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Abolish the income tax, disallow all deductions and increase the sales tax and remove all existing tax loopholes for large corporations

 @993TYN3Conservativefrom New Brunswick  answered…2yrs2Y

Single tax bracket from 35,000 to 2,000,000 then progressive tax on higher income

 @97Z5JYRConservativefrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

I think that the government should no raise taxes on the rich but instead take a stricter stance to make sure they are taxed.

 @8QZL5HTConservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, however it should not be raised to the point where companies and corporations will leave the country.

 @8FSTPPWConservativefrom Ontario  answered…5yrs5Y

No they should not as the tax brackets are already high enough in Canada and with out the rich the middle and lower-class will not have jobs

 @965D8HXConservativefrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8DPWTGP from Wisconsin  answered…5yrs5Y

People should be taxed at the same rate. If you earn more, you should pay a little more, but it should be at the same percentage as someone who makes less.

Lower income taxes on the middle and poor class, and increase on the rich.

 @8L9P7P3 from GU  answered…4yrs4Y

For the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, taxes should not be raised for anybody. 6 months after the vaccine is distributed to everyone, say in early or mid-2022, those that earn between $400,000 and more will have a tax increase, it won't be a massive increase nor will it be a minuscule increase

 @8XSXMM6 from Oregon  answered…3yrs3Y

If research can truly prove that a flat tax works, pursue a flat tax and ensure that the government spends the money efficiently.

  @8ZH59GG from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

No, and abolish the income tax, disallow all deductions and increase the sales tax

 @92RSHM9answered…3yrs3Y

yes, but it wouldn't change anything because the rich can become richer

 @8Q6C4Y4 from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

No, maintain the current rates until the national debt is drastically reduced, then lower taxes for the rich

 @8R2RMP3 from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8LZGM3Lanswered…4yrs4Y

Absolutely not because they have worked for that money over their years and acquired it. Just because they’re rich does not mean they should have to pay more taxes than everyone else.

 @8LYLWBG from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8R7SQ2V from California  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but abolish the income tax for at least half (maybe 75% or even up to 90%) of Americans, and in turn increase taxes on land and passive income (such as stock ownership or real estate). This would encourage active participation in the economy while simultaneously not punishing high-skilled workers.

 @8HDMV9J from Utah  answered…5yrs5Y

 @92457QX from Illinois  answered…3yrs3Y

Instead of raising the taxes, make sure the rich are paying for there taxes and not finding a lope hole.

 @9SS82X8Conservativefrom Alberta  answered…8mos8MO

Our governments are too lenient on their more wealthy citizens and they need to step in and make sure that all citizen's pay for public services. The Wealthy class expect access to public services yet they refuse to pay for them. If I were in the position to solve this I would implicate a fixed tax rate for all people regardless on class and would also crack down on policies and laws that allow the rich to create loopholes through our tax system.

 @8XH4JKP from Missouri  answered…3yrs3Y

I think the rich should pay a tax that is sustainable for them like other taxpayers making it around the equal percentage of pay.
