Australia currently has a progressive tax system whereby high income earners pay a higher percentage of tax than low income tax. A more progressive income tax system has been proposed as a tool towards reducing wealth inequality.

The tax bracket should be adjusted according to inflation rate and cost of life. People should be able to buy houses, raise children and have enough money for retirement and current tax rates are preventing building wealth.

Billionaires should not exist. One person does not require that much wealth and it does nothing to promote our society. Anything over $300,000,000 should be taxed at 95% and the government should use that money to strengthen society.

The "rich" needs to be better defined. Making $250,000 before taxes per year does not mean you're rich anymore, it means you live comfortably. I'd argue you'd need to make north of $500,000 per year before taxes to be considered "rich"

Maintain the tax brackets we currently have but fix issues that may allow those in the higher tax brackets to reduce their taxes through loopholes.

I support raising taxes on corporations and wealthy billionaires; however, ideally we would democratize the workforce, eliminating the need to tax the rich as there would be no ultra-wealthy class.

Lower income people should not be in higher tax brackets because the rich can afford better tax representation and the ability to shelter assets. It should be more standard.
