Should Canada raise taxes on the rich?

Australia currently has a progressive tax system whereby high income earners pay a higher percentage of tax than low income tax. A more progressive income tax system has been proposed as a tool towards reducing wealth inequality.

no but only because it will drive the richest of our economy out of the country. if america introduced a similar stance on taxing the rich, id be all for it.

I am middle class. I feel it is unfair to over tax those who have achieved wealth as an individual.

I believe they should pay more but not significantly. Say, if you make over a certain amount a year than your tax rate might be slightly higher.

I’d say cut 2/3 of the wage for all people in the House of Commons and keep the TAX how it is now for the rich

Lower taxes for low income earners. But more importantly, teach proper finances and economics in school so we know how the tax system works, and so we can pay our taxes, but also know strategies to keep more in our pockets.

Axis of Desperation: Russia Recruits North Korean Soldiers in Ukraine War

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III confirmed on Wednesday that North Korea had sent troops to Russia to join the fight against Ukraine, a major shift in Moscow’s effort to win the war. Mr. Austin called the North’s presence a “very, very serious” escalation that would have ramifications in both Europe and Asia.“What exactly are they doing?” Mr. Austin told reporters at a military base in Italy after a trip to Ukraine. “Left to be seen.” He gave no details about the number of troops already there or the number expected to arrive.Mr. Austin cast President Vladimir V. But they made no estimate of how many more might follow, or even how well they might perform on territory that the North’s conscripts have never fought in, amid fellow fighters who speak a different language.
