Yes, without public subsidy but there should be no public subsidy into ANY industry. Let market forces drive research and innovation. There is much to be done with low yield, low half life reactors. It is possible to have a unit the size of a semi-trailer that powers an entire town. Safe operation should also address safe disposal of spent fuels until fusion energy becomes the preferred choice.

Odd that thorium, which is a next-gen nuclear energy source is lumped in with “no” on nuclear energy! Increase the use of thorium nuclear energy and explore widespread smaller scale fusion.

In the short term it’s great but in long term it is dangerous as the half lives are so long

The regulations and standards, and the infrastructure involved in the nuclear power plants need to meet modern standards before this transition is possible. Including updating outdated nuclear facilities. The answer is yes, but I don't think its financially viable to make the transition to nuclear under the current federal budget.

The use of nuclear energy is fine but strong against the reproduction of it

Yes, as long as safety requirements are maintained and strictly enforced.

nuclear energy 2 drawbacks one is the fallout that will render land around it useless the other is the united states does not have any long-term storage and does not have a way to reuse nuclear waste as of the time I am writing this.

Yes, and drastically reduce regulations to allow nuclear power to become more profitable.
