I feel like this goes both ways.
Both Straight and Gay families need a check to make sure they aren't abusive or verbal abusive.
The Straight family can tell lies about gay people to their children.
The Gay family can also say lies about straight people to them but a background check might help or constant checking on the child.

i feel like the same-sex should have higher priority then some straight couples especially if its a male male since they have no why to have kids and they still want one.

I believe more research needs to be done in this area on the long term effects of having same sex parents. There is extensive research that proves children with both a mother and father have more stability and success in life.
