President Obama recently declared that the U.S. will accept 10,000 refugees from Syria. The U.S. has been under pressure from its Syrian allies to help out with the crisis in which 3 Million refugees have fled Syria in the past year. Those in favor of accepting refugees believe that the U.S. has a duty to join its allies in Europe and accept at least 10,000 refugees. Opponents argue that the U.S. should stay out of this crisis and accepting refugees from the Middle East leads to a risk of letting terrorists into our borders.

Accept immigrants but after screening

Government should not be involved in arbitrary immigration quotas of any kind. People can voluntarily bring in as many refugees as they are willing to support, or pay to support them anywhere else possible.

As long as they benefit our country

We should only help if we have the means to help without hurting Canadian citizens

Yes, but extensive background check and continuous monitoring to ensure they have no terrorist connections. The refugees that acquire entrance into this country can be resolved by deporting an illegal or convicted refugee.

Yes, but after background checks and at no expense to taxpayer.

I believe we should accept anyone who needs aid. But it seems as if the government is not properly setting these people up for success.

not even we are giving them free money, and letting in to many. and letting them just not work and live here.

In all honestly, “Canada” needs to close its boarders I know so many people who were/are born and raised here in Edmonton, but no one wants to hire them because they’re hiring people from out of Country for less.
It needs to stop, the population is getting way to big for Edmonton alone.
