Absolutely STOP!!! this immediately. We have enough issues with looking after our own health care, education and the elderly. What about the non-affordable housing issues in Vancouver, Toronto etc? We have so many reasons to stop giving so MUCH MONEY to importing refugees. We have so many homeless youth. We have so many people that have addiction problems and so much mental illness. Stop giving our tax money away now!!! Use it here in Canada. Let's clean up our own backyard.

 @8SJ7TJZfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

right now, Canada needs to focus on the current residents, citizens before bringing in more - doesnt matter the country

We should accept them because they are an equal human being but still be careful and make sure they follow the rules

 @966HTFXfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but thoroughly check their background and limit the amount accepted.

 @963SWNLfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

depends on if we have to many jobs for the amount of people we have. or not enough homes for the people we already have.

 @95GVTWVfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

No because currently Canada is dealing with a housing crisis and healthcare crisis, country lacks the foundation support refugees when Canadians are suffering.

 @95GVQ4Hfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, they should. Canada should also be able to make sure that the refugees take care of themselves in a way as well, Refugees shouldn't depend on all on Canada to help them.

 @95FFWMQfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but do a background check. Once they have passed a background check, they should be free to enter without any restrictions or monitoring. They are refugees, not criminals.

 @956NLV7from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @944QJ2Pfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but we must actively remove all of our troops stationed overseas. Scale back the military.

 @93WH4G7Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Canada can barely support the citizens we have now. We don't need anymore people to come. The government should focus on providing for those who are already here; citizens of Canada and their well-being.

 @93V562Yfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @93T8BYBfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

No more refugees until the housing crisis and inflation issues are addressed and in a better place

 @93S66JLfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but not anyone who has been convicted of serious criminal acts and as long as they are productive citizens and are not abusing the immigration policy or the funding Canada puts aside for immigrants, (housing, food, jobs etc).

 @93QY49Jfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, we should accept the 10,000 refugees but we should make sure to do a background check and most likely allow families.

 @93QS5HZfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

no we should help their country be better rather than brining them here.

 @93HQPK6from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Depending on the economic and social circumstance in a given year, we can decide if we can afford to take in refugees. Extensive background checks must be done on anyone entering the country to ensure that they have no terrorist connections.

 @93CNC6CConservativefrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

We should only accept a certain about of immigrants, because now the cities and the country in general is going to be filled with immigrants.

 @93BG3X2from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, if they are willing to integrate into our culture and values, etc.

 @93B6FPPfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @939RLGLfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Until we can take care of our own citizens, I'd rather we halt immigration entirely.

 @939N3JMfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

We have to stop for now since we have a lot already and we need to help ourselves first.

 @939MRM7from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9394FLFfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

We should be helping our own people first before helping other people from other countries.

 @938YBV7from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92Z3Y82from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

How about we take care of Canadas homeless , and poor like people on odsp before adding more refugees

 @92YRTYTConservativefrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

They should be allow as long as they are doing things( enjoyment or schooling)

 @92XKMQMfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Background check before they come and then when it is safe to go back then they should go back.

 @92WM9XQfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92K9R27Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92GRS2Nfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, until we have a firmer graspe on the current immigration application backlog

 @8ZTZ8S9from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZMHP9HPeople’sfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes but only after a vetting process to ensure no terrorist affiliation and enroll them into a program to integrate them into canadian society

 @8Z87ZRQfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but ensure they respect human/animal rights. NO ENTRY to sexists, homophobes, transphobes, child/animal abusers.

 @8YRX8JVfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YLRMLRNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

no, because Canada already allowed to settle the number of refugees they promised.

 @8WYBHWPfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but these refugees should only be allowed to move into the more rural provinces and territories instead of the big cities.

 @NewDemocratGirlfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes. But we need to start to put measures into place to be able to house and help these people. We already have a homelessness crisis in Canada. By 2050 there will be up to 2 billion people displaced from climate change ALONE. Let's not make the same mistakes we did with Covid and leave it till the last minute to get prepared. Tick Tock. We have 28 years.

 @8W894YPLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

If we are in a position to help others, then we can accept more refugees. We should not accept more if we have canadians in need of help.

 @8W4KBLYfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

We should... we... they... well... ... It's good to save those people from their wasteland of a country. but... we can only hold so many people in the same country and be so stable, and/or able to manage them all.

 @8VZ92KPfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VZ3PQSfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VY4CSMfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only if they have the means to get by without living off government handouts.

 @8VW9Z8Tfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

yes but we should spread them out across Canada, not populated city’s such as Toronto and Vancouver.

 @8VVQXYWfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VVQPWMLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Too many refugees already. Take care of the poor people, and homless people and the Vets first.

 @8VVQ3CHfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but we need to handle the current issue of Canadians who have lost jobs/ work due to covid and once we have handled that then we can bring in refugees

My grandparents had to jump threw hoops to get allowed into Canada when they came from Europe my grandfather being an electrical engineer so everyone should have to go threw the same process

 @8VV2P57from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only after extensive background checks and continuous monitoring before they're accepted to ensure they have no terrorist connections

 @8VTXHZXfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

I feel that it has to receive from any country not only Syria is at war or has fights, in Mexico there are many cartels every day, every hour they are fighting against other cartels, it can also happen in different countries so they should accept from any country

 @8VTV2J2from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

seeing as this is an unfair question because there is no winning in any answer, i have no opinion

 @8VTJPY8from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

yes, only if it is not empeding on our stability as a country (healthcare, mental health, housing, environment) and is done to ensure safety of our country.

 @8VTFFXFfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but make sure there is funding and help in place for the Canadians living here already. Aid for the homeless.

 @8VTFXW7from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

we should accept only those that want to work and help re build our economy

 @8VTCRZCfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but less and after we have taken care of Canadians (like getting indigenous communities clean drinking water where they don’t have any) if we can’t take care of current Canadians, we shouldn’t be letting immigrants in

 @8VT6R7Qfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only after extensive background checks and continuous monitoring to ensure they have no terrorist connections. Also focusing on families and reuniting families currently split apart.

 @8VT5KG8from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only if due diligence and scrutiny are applied to each of the applicants. And a high level security screening, background & criminal checks are conducted.

 @8VT4FJBfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, the people of the respective country be treated better by helping the country prosper and not by adopting their children.

 @8VSYMFJfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Just a extensive background to ensure the safety of both Canadians and Syrian refugees. I find the that the constant monitoring is unnecessary and can be seen as racial profiling.
