No more. Canada has already accepted 25,000 Syrian refugees. It is better to support peace in Syria so that Syrians can live in their own country.

 @8LHD8XZfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @95QKZXPfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Canada should accept refugees from Syria but should only do so when they are sure that they area able to actually provide help

 @95N6GWJConservativefrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, They should have good background checks and not be recieving government money

 @958NSFFfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @95726THfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

We should accept a certain percent in relation to current population statistics, as well as a test to ensure safety

 @955LBYVfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

If Canada has the availability and ability to hold and take care of them yes

 @93TNZM9from Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @93NRKCFLibertarianfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes. But only after an extensive background check. No one else other than that one person that was confirmed.

yes but create a more stable solution to the housing problem instead of not letting foreigners buy homes to fix it

 @8YT28XJfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, I really think Canada should take in a lot more refugees. They should also do background checks however they should not delay and drag it out unless it's necessary for safety.

 @8XSTLL5from Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Only allow minorities. The christians are the target of the extremist and the Syrian government.

 @8XKLVJYPeople’sfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

No, we should stop taking all refugees until we decrease our national debt and increase our spending towards taking care of veterans

 @8W4LCHHConservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I believe we should be taking care of the homeless due to mental health and military and focus on getting our own people okay before we start helping other countries. I think we have lots of work we need to do first before we can help others/

 @8VZG3SZfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Canada should bring them if they have budget enough to keep the economy. And that come to work not lay around do nothing and be subsidized by the government.

 @8VZCTFDfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Why would we? Fix your own dam country we have our own problems and issues to deal with.

 @8VYGYCPfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, if they do not work within the first 3 months of being in Canada, they must be sent back

 @8VW89C9New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only after extensive background checks and a 2 year monitoring period

 @8VVXL5Jfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but only an amount that the government is able to support financially without burdening Canadians.

 @8VVYJVFLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, we have a lot of refugees already. We should pay more attention and help Canadians first.

 @8VVL23Sfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, if those coming in don’t have any criminal record and will uphold the values of the Canadian people

 @8VTHCTDfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VSS27VNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, although don't give them as much support compared to other struggling true canadians

 @8VSP3KLfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

The government should follow its standard refuge process and volumes while working to support larger flux situations as possible with allied nations.

 @8VSNDC4from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

We need to fix problems in our own country than help others. Fix homelessness here before we bring other people here and give them the opportunities that our own people should have

 @8VSDYG4from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VSDVY2New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

A mixture of monitoring potential threats and this is no longer relevant. Not all Syrians are terrorists and shouldn’t be treated like one. For the public’s safe of mind a background check should be done and if there is a threat then monitor them.

 @8VRSZXZfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, however, we need to be making sure that Canadians are getting proper supports, as well as the refugees.

 @8VRK7FCfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VQZ2PCfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VQWQ52from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Families who are ready to work and be a part of the society, yes. People who are open minded and come here with the intentions to not change everything. As long as the people here have enough. Don’t want to overload.

 @8VPBCM4from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VNRPTFfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Why single out Syria? We should stop immigration from England, France, and USA too

 @8VN3BQTfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I feel that it would depend on the circumstance. Like if the the people were in danger because of an on going war or if they wanted to become educated here kinda thing.

 @8VN2H54from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

We should follow trumps policy of getting our own country in order before accepting others into our country. Take care of our own before taking care of others

 @8VLTQ8Hfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I think that it should be held off because there are too many refugees right now and it should just wait.

 @8VLHL4Sfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

It’s a complicated issue that should be looked at closer. Canada should welcome folks from all over but we are currently struggling ourselves.

 @8VL4NPMfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

It depends if they are criminals or terrorists if they are not terrorists or criminals then sure.

 @8VK2PLFLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but make sure they don’t depend on social service and they have to work to live here

 @8VJQM4FGreenfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but the reason for background checks is to make sure they are criminal record-free and doing something while they are here. they need to be doing something to benefit the community.

 @8VJGX54from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Government should not be involved in arbitrary immigration quotas of any kind. People can voluntarily bring in as many refugees as they are willing to support, or pay to support them anywhere else possible.

 @8VJD97Bfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but with complete background check of individuals.but it should be done out of good will not for vote gain for political purposes

 @8VJ744Nfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes if they work and are productive members of society and fulfill positions that our workforce needs. Do not give them government handouts and allow them to become independent and integrated members of society

 @8VHDLX6from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VH22SVfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

With background checks and proof of who the individual is. As long as they are not a violent criminal or have connections to violent criminals then anyone should be able to apply to become a refugee

 @8VGKFLXfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VG7XBCLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

yes but first we have to know who they are and what did they have been done so we don't get in any trouble

 @8VFVNTMNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

They should be fully immunized on arrival as well as a complete health check at out government expense

 @8VF5X2Yfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Refugees and all new Canadians should work to pay for services,medical,education.like Denmark

 @8V8XBLMfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

not unless they can provide something to this country they should not be prioritized over people who are going through the migration process

 @8V8X79ZRhinocerosfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but background checks and recent check-in and tests to get them off their feet.

 @8V6RLGMfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8V68CBPLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

yes and no, if it can be supported by our economy then yes. but i think canadian citizens should be the highest priority

 @8V53MS4from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No. Canadians first, others later. Too many are homeless as it is. Too many are struggling financially. No.

 @8V4ZX27from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8V44XFMfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I think Canada needs to take care of who is here now. Once that gets figured out then allow refugees

 @8V2Q8MTfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I agree with accepting refugees, however I believe we should look after our own seniors 1st and foremost

 @8TYNLGTfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

With far more stringent vetting and only if we accept refugees of other faiths and from other parts of the world equally as much. The Canadian Government is notoriously bigoted against Judaeo-Christian faiths and values.

 @8TWMPTPfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes after extensive background checks and continuous monitoring to ensure they have no terrorist connections... and with the expectation they get substantial work to support themselves and their families and not be a burden to society

 @8TW94V4New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but we should be more focused on providing peace keeping aid to war torn countries so that refugees can return to their homes and be safe.

 @8TV8482from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TV82QXfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Only if the contribute to society after background checks. Should be mandatory to speak English and come at their own expense. No free handouts

 @8TSH239Conservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

With the current amount of jobs in Canada, and immigration occurring. We should ensure that we have a healthy balanced immigration to job policy to further reduce unemployment in our country over time or at least get it to a historic all time low.

 @8TQ845Bfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Only families and workers families should be permitted to enter, but only after INTENSE screening for terrorist connections.

 @8TCWLJBConservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

yes but keep it on the slower side as alot of tax payers dollars are being spent on funnding for them

 @8T4RKCTfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

we should focus on homeless people and when that is taken care of take in refugees

 @8T2QCVFfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, of course we should assist people fleeing displacement and conflict
