President Obama recently declared that the U.S. will accept 10,000 refugees from Syria. The U.S. has been under pressure from its Syrian allies to help out with the crisis in which 3 Million refugees have fled Syria in the past year. Those in favor of accepting refugees believe that the U.S. has a duty to join its allies in Europe and accept at least 10,000 refugees. Opponents argue that the U.S. should stay out of this crisis and accepting refugees from the Middle East leads to a risk of letting terrorists into our borders.

Yes, they should. Canada should also be able to make sure that the refugees take care of themselves in a way as well, Refugees shouldn't depend on all on Canada to help them.
@92SSPLH3yrs3Y
Accepting refuge is OK if they place they come has opportunity. They are 2.5 times as likely to live in poverty and the mass immigration we are seeing now is driving down PPP for everyone.

Yes but only to the point where we won’t over populate cities

I would prefer not to answer
Yes, but the reason for background checks is to make sure they are criminal record-free and doing something while they are here. they need to be doing something to benefit the community.
Yes provided that they are given the opportunity to expand into our Northern countryside and are not over populating our current major city centers pushing Canadians into the countryside.
I believe we should be stricter on who we let in. And make sure they pass Canadian citizenship tests, English/French tests, and not be handing out money and cars to whoever comes in. They should have to work for what they get just like us.

Canada should accept a reasonable amount of refugees, depending on how bad their circumstances are. Canada should make sure most refugees have something to do or somewhere to go after entering the country. Background checks should be necessary for everyone regardless of who they are. Canada should be allowing more families with that are in need, into the country.
@8PGPC6P4yrs4Y
Only after a full background check to know where they are financially, to see if they need subsidizing. then they should be allowed in
@Jatzuyu4yrs4Y
Yes, but only ones with absolutely no connection to any leader or bad person from their previous country.
We should dismantle the military industrial complex that leaves the global south in a state of perpetual instability in service of western profit interests.
I think charity begins at home, and take care of our own homeless first. That is not to say we should not help those struggling in Syria.
Very situational - based on how our economy is set up to receive them
@8M5HGGR4yrs4Y
Yes, but do extensive background tests per person
Hate this question, we should monitor before allowing to enter our country. They should not receive more monetary government assistance than our own citizens do.
