President Obama recently declared that the U.S. will accept 10,000 refugees from Syria. The U.S. has been under pressure from its Syrian allies to help out with the crisis in which 3 Million refugees have fled Syria in the past year. Those in favor of accepting refugees believe that the U.S. has a duty to join its allies in Europe and accept at least 10,000 refugees. Opponents argue that the U.S. should stay out of this crisis and accepting refugees from the Middle East leads to a risk of letting terrorists into our borders.

Yes but make sure you’re providing housing for those in your own community first
@8TLSVP74yrs4Y
Yes, but a family member who is able to fight should have to train with the military and then be sent back to fight for their country. The exception would be for single parents.

We shouldn't open the flood gates of immigration, but do background checks and have the application process. It shouldn't be so easy as to just waltz right into Canada. But yes we should take in Syrian refugees.
Yes, but we have to have a plan for what we'll do with them once they're in the country
Yes but with a Priority for families.

We need to take care of our own people first and take care of our homeless crisis
@8NVXXNM4yrs4Y
Yes, but with minimal financial support
We should dismantle the military industrial complex that leaves the global south in a state of perpetual instability in service of western profit interests.

We need to have a good set up to enable refugees to have a decent chance of living and job opportunity while they are living here. We shouldn't bring in tons if we are not prepared to host and employ them. If there is no job market, bringing them to us will not only be challenging for them, but for us as well. We should bring them because they are fleeing war, they need help, but we need to be better prepared for bringing them here.

No because we can’t help the Canadians that are cold hungry and homeless. So no please don’t accept anymore
Yes, while we help Canadians in debt or poverty
@8D6DG935yrs5Y
yes we should accept refugees, but there is a point where the country cant take anymore. we should do it right. we need to make sure that they will live peacefully and accept our culture and not cause disruption coming from a different culture.

I dont have enough information to answer. All lives should be saved... including our own. And I just do not have enough information to know if this option makes me feel more or less safe in my country.
@8TKD6G74yrs4Y
If an individual chooses to, yes.
@8SHTV674yrs4Y

@8MRXJ864yrs4Y
