Pushing aside the false claims about how Brit's don't like him (which can be disproved by just going to Reddit's "Ask a Brit" and you'll see most either didn't know him at all, or appreciated he was a level head during Brexit, whom actually advised against it!), and that he was "Justin's advisor the past five years" (He was one of many ADVISORS. Which doesn't mean that advice has to be taken or used!) you'll see he's actually been very successful in his work as a financial advisor... when his advice is followed.
He worked with CONSERVATIVE leader Harper, and was part of the force that kept Canada's finances from completely tanking during Harper's reign. Unlike every other Con leader we've had. During that term, he also spoke favourably about Carney any time he was mentioned.
And, in case anyone is thinking I'm being harsh on Conservatives: To be clear, I am in favour of Carney himself due to this. Not the Liberals in general. I'm not personally a Liberal.
