I recognize the need to address historical harms through government support, but I believe funding should be tied to clear outcomes and accountability. Indigenous communities should not receive unrestricted control over these funds. At the same time, it’s frustrating to see hardworking citizens and long-time residents overlooked while Canada offers extensive benefits to newcomers. We need a fair balance that supports reconciliation without neglecting the needs of all Canadians.
