Doug Ford and the Progressive Conservative Party have won a third consecutive majority government in Ontario’s snap election, marking a historic achievement not seen in over 50 years. The decision to call the election more than a year early appears to have worked in Ford’s favor, with analysts suggesting he leveraged political concerns from the U.S. to solidify support. The victory cements Ford’s leadership and extends the PC Party’s control over Ontario for another term. With the polls now closed, official seat counts are being finalized, but the PCs have secured a decisive win. This outcome signals continued conservative governance in Canada’s most populous province.
Another four years of big government spending and corporate handouts—Ford might call himself a conservative, but there’s nothing small-government about his policies. Ontario deserves real leadership that cuts taxes, reduces bureaucracy, and lets people keep more of their hard-earned money.
Hopefully, this means fewer government handouts and more policies that support free markets and individual responsibility.

Former Liberal premier David Peterson, who served as the 20th leader of Ontario from 1985 to 1990, tells CTV News that Doug Ford has “cleverly exploited” the ongoing threats coming south of the Canadian border to his political advantage in calling this election more than a year ahead in advance.“
Great to see Ontario sticking with a leader who actually gets things done! Ford’s common-sense approach is exactly what the province needs to keep the economy strong and life affordable.
Ford securing another majority is great for Ontario’s economy—pro-business policies and infrastructure investments will keep the province competitive.
