Should Canada switch to a proportional representation voting system?

I want the FPTP system gone and legislation put in for it to never, ever return as it stands for the opposite of democracy

Though, I'm still undecided on what I would like it to be replaced with. Of course, I want every vote to matter in a perfect world. But unfortunately evil people (as in, selfish people, who want create division, who want to take away basic human rights) exist and I firmly believe they should never be allowed to partake in voting decisions
