Canada's Parliament has come to a standstill due to a standoff between the ruling Liberal Party and the opposition Conservatives. The dispute centers around the opposition's demand for government documents related to alleged misspending, which the Liberals have not provided. As a result, no new government business, including key legislation like a proposed capital gains tax increase, has been tabled for over a week. The Conservatives accuse the Liberals of corruption and are refusing to allow parliamentary proceedings to move forward until the documents are released. This deadlock has effectively halted the legislative process in the House of Commons.

This is exactly why we need less government in the first place. They waste our money, then stonewall when asked for accountability, all while holding up the entire system. If these politicians didn’t have so much power over our lives, their petty disputes wouldn’t matter so much.
