I fully support the NDP's decision to scrap the Marshals Service; it's high time we explore more effective and community-based approaches to tackle rural crime.

It's quite concerning to see political maneuvers that could potentially strip away layers of our public safety net, like the proposal to scrap the Saskatchewan Marshals Service. While I get the need for fiscal responsibility and the appeal of not raising taxes, ensuring the safety of rural communities should also be a priority. It seems like a careful balance needs to be struck between efficient spending and maintaining essential services, and I'm not convinced that doing away with the Marshals Service is the right move here.
