Which political ideology do you most identify with?
What small, daily decisions do you make that align with your values for a better society?
I deeply consider environmental issues, and stereotypes typically indicate that Conservatives are not too concerned with environmental issues, however, this is an inadequate statement. Recycle, Reduce and Reuse are all important concepts to me, and I feel like people in society and all over the world are truly confused about what Progressive ideas really are at the moment. I do not want to go into too much detail, however, for example, when we take a look at Electric cars and that whole industry, there are major misunderstandings around it. The production and environmental impacts involved before and during the production of electric cars is absolutely devastating to the environment, I would even consider it to be far worse than the carbon emissions impact, if you consider all of the future implications and consequences of going on with an industry we have barely done enough research on. While countries, in particular, countries like China, need to do alot more to innovate and develop more efficient and environmentally friendly gas and carbon emissions products, and stop use of coal, and implement more environmental regulation, all nations need to consider the devastating impacts of electric cars. There are better alternatives and we have the solutions right in front of us, and we have become so focused on one environmental issue, that we forget about all of the others. What about plastic and the oceans? What about wildlife habitat and wetland conservation, as well as addressing conservation and protection of forests and threatnened species. Getting back to my point, we are lost with our ideas of being progressive. We have been innovating and developing more efficient and environmentally friendly ways of producing gas cars, which are far less costly, weigh alot less, being more efficient, new carbon emissions technology to dramatically reduce carbon emissions in the atmosphere. We have been educated, have been knowledgeable and have done research on these cars and industry for over 100 years and now we want to change… Read more
