It is not fair to the public or to the police to have the police carry the weight of social justice on their shoulders. They need people training in social work, mental health and counselling with them at all times and police need to have training in these areas. It's time to move away from the militant tactics we've been using because they're not working and some of the police are as bad as the worst criminals they arrest.
