Foreigners should be allowed to buy a home to reside in only. They should also have to become a Canadian citizen to do so. Foreign ownership is driving up housing prices, making them unaffordable for local residents.

If they have the $ and it doesn't affect the citizens who cannot afford to buy and they only buy the home they plan to reside in. Or if they rent it out at a reasonable cost.

Foreigners should be permanently banned from buying homes in Canada unless it's their primary residence
