Non-residents who own real estate in Canada should be taxed at the same rate as Canadians who own similar real estate

However, non-residents who use their Canadian real estate for income purposes (eg. they lease their real estate to Canadian residents) should be taxed at an appropriate rate for their earnings. The tax rate should worsen especially if they decide that their earnings are to be removed from Canada.
