Vaccine passports offer proof of immunity to people who have been inoculated with a vaccine. The concept gained traction after 2 vaccines were introduced to help combat the Coronavirus pandemic in November 2020. A vaccine passport would allow individuals to stop wearing masks if they could they have been inoculated and so aren’t a risk to others. Countries could require foreign visitors to have the passports in order to cross their border and restaurants, theaters and offices may make them mandatory in order to enter their premises. More than a dozen countries including Ghana and Nigeria currently require proof of vaccination against yellow fever before they are issued a visa.

NO. That is against the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and violates bodily autonomy. The government should have absolutely no say in what I do with my body, and should not be allowed to dictate our lives if we choose not to be a guinea pig.

Vaccines are NOT proven effective, especially the covid vax (which is not even a vaccine. It is gene therapy), which is NOT proven effective, NOT fda approved (it is only being given because Trudeau is keeping us in a state of emergency. When he lifts the state, the shots can't be given until trials are over. The trials for the shots aren… Read more
@8RK5FXD4yrs4Y
No, the pandemic is over and the lockdowns should have ended last year.
@8T3SC9V3yrs3Y
Government has no right to affect your traveling and health ability.
@8SWGJ5K3yrs3Y
sure, but as long as not having a vaccine passport means that you can still travel. ( it doesn't take away your mobility rights).
@8ST6S8R3yrs3Y
No, there is no data that shows that current covid "vaccines" prevent the transmission of covid-19. Authorized for emergency use does not mean approved and it definitely does not mean safe.
@8SLS73S3yrs3Y
NO. That is against the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and violates bodily autonomy. The government should have absolutely no say in what I do with my body.
No, people should have free will
@8SF7HN34yrs4Y
Yes, but only for international travel. Passports should be encouraged for inter zone travel and masks should be mandatory for travel until the pandemic is resolved.
@8SCWFQW4yrs4Y
Only if it benefits people and causes no harm
@8S4G7FNLibertarian4yrs4Y
Not mandatory, but needed to enter establishments and fly. If no passport, mask required.
@8S23T274yrs4Y
No, this is the first step towards a Chinese social credit system.
@8RWBHS34yrs4Y
No, this will segregate society into a 2-tier system. This could deny service and freedom to people who can't be vaccinated for medical reasons and from having a social life. This practice is also unconstitutional and illegal
@8RR2D5JConservative4yrs4Y
No, add stamps to Passports for travel purposes and digitize healthcare records for electronic tracking of vaccines.
@8RJ5L744yrs4Y
No, this will segregate society into a 2-tiered social system. This will turn into a situation where everyone who (may not be for political or personal reasons) medically cannot be vaccinated getting turned away from grocery shopping, restaurants, clubs, schooling, etc. We cannot do this at anytime for constitutional reasons and moral reasons. This should be stopped. We also do not yet know if the vaccine will prevent infection either. So no, this should not be implemented.
No, this takes away one’s individual rights to choose. This is a complete violation of our Freedoms. This is Canada not Communist country.
@8R396JS4yrs4Y
Yes and no. It is a violation of someones body autonomy to be forced to take a vaccine, which they basically would be if they needed to work or leave the country. On the other hand, anti-vaxer's are stupid and uneducated, and they shouldn't be allowed to spread disease becasue they want to.
@8R26JKW4yrs4Y
No, this will segregate society, meaning that this will place unvaccinated people as second-class citizens and will put them into house arrest. This will also have a negative impact especially on communities of remote location which don't have an identification acquisition centre and people who are healthy enough to not need vaccination.
@8QWT99F4yrs4Y
yes vaccine's should be mandatory
@8QS8GXG4yrs4Y
No we are too early in the pandemic to decide this, and what good would it do, it can always be faked fir nefarious deeds.
@8QFCQGTNew Democratic4yrs4Y
Yes, but only for healthczre and other high risk-settings.
@8QD4K4K4yrs4Y
Yes, for the purpose of travel. They should not be mandatory for other things and everyone should still wear a mask until we are no longer in a defined pandemic. Making vaccine passports mandatory for general activities takes away a person's right to chose whether or not to be vaccinated without punishment. Vaccine passports would however be highly beneficial for travel with the objective of reducing the spread of the Coronavirus.
@8QCWKL64yrs4Y
No, that is tyrannical and authoritarian. 1984 was a warning, NOT an instruction manual for Pete’s sake. We live in a FREE country, where people are free to make their own choices about their lives. Their body: their choice.
@8Q5CJW34yrs4Y
No, this will segregate society and this will prevent unvaccinated people from having a social life. This should not be implemented.
@8PYXCGL4yrs4Y
No, this is a slippery slope towards denying rights and freedoms to everyone who isn't vaccinated for any reason. The passports have no base in science. We should also eliminate proof of vaccination entirely.
@8PYDKTH4yrs4Y
Could you imagine the amount of falsification that would go along with this?
@8PXK8WV4yrs4Y
No this will violate the constitution and the Geneva convention and Nuremberg codes
@8PS9QM54yrs4Y
Depends on the type of vaccine.
@8PS3T7D4yrs4Y
@8PRVVJT4yrs4Y
I dont really understand this one
@8PRPWNX4yrs4Y
yes, unless you can prove underlying medical conditions prevent you from safely getting vaccinated.
@8SHNHYV4yrs4Y
No, this could segregate society. We also are too early to decide this. If this does get issued, people who are not vaccinated, for whatever reason could face discrimination and will be perceived as having COVID-19, this could create injustices. We should never implement this system. This is also against the constitution.
@8PWTMRM4yrs4Y
Yes, for international along with the occupation of wearing a mask.
Deleted3yrs3Y
Regardless, the COVID-19 vaccine should be mandatory
Deleted3yrs3Y
No, mandate the COVID vaccine instead
@77QDMZN3yrs3Y
Absolutely not; vaccine passports force people to get a vaccine--specifically the COVID19 vaccine, which is not FDA approved, and has no extensive data about its side effects or effectiveness. The government should not force people to participate in a clinical trial, even if its past multiple states of study and testing.
@8SR7GPZ3yrs3Y
Controlling the movement of the people should be viewed as unconstitutional. Some countries ask you to get vaccines for malaria or yellow fever, but covid is similar to the flu. It’s can be deadly, but the flu claims thousands every year, but never require special identification to work, travel, or just enjoy life.
@2JKJDDZ4yrs4Y
No, and Guillotine anybody who suggests we should
@7GP32QV4yrs4Y
No, and ban the private sector from issuing or requiring vaccine passports.
@74SQGHQ4yrs4Y
No, vaccine passports are unconstitutional
@semiresponsive4yrs4Y
Yes, as long as it is up to individuals, businesses (or governments) to determine their own policy for allowing entry to non-vaccinated individuals. (i.e - it's your right to not get vaccinated, but it's my right to not serve you if you're not)
@8RVPFGJ4yrs4Y
No because some people are allergic too it.
@republicson4yrs4Y
No, let the issuer of the vaccine do so if they choose.
@7PTCG384yrs4Y
Yes, but the option should be allowed to either have a vaccine passport or continue to wear a mask.
@RalphMcCormack4yrs4Y
No one should require the vaccine in order to travel.
@7PTCG384yrs4Y
Yes, but the option should be allowed to either have a vaccine passport or continue to wear a mask
@84WY5BZ4yrs4Y
No, the vaccination only stops you from experiencing symptoms and does not prevent the spread of the virus.
@5PYQTKR4yrs4Y
Yes, but as a matter of convenience for those wishing to travel.
