Yes but it should be more of a municipal government thing. The federal government should still provide some funds though.

Yes…with equal support to all provinces and urban centres. Tired of inferior transportation in BC but seeing preference in funding to Ontario and Quebec funding

 @9GYSNHDfrom Nova Scotia  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but make sure that their is a plan on part of municipal governments, as well as the ridership and tax base to continue funding this project.

We have alot of transport we can get by and we defenitely dont need to spend more on railway tickets when we already have that thinking years ago in question that was finished, So no.

The government should invest in commuter urban rail transposition. Trains are a great alternative to using cars. There should be more options to get around in cities such as monorail, train, subway and what not. Cities shouldn't be built around cars it's dystopian.

 @9H4KC4Kfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Transit absolutely needs more funding, but it makes more sense to be on a municipal or provincial level

If transportation is a federal government issue, then it should be applicable to both urban and rural settings.

Yes, as long as the land of the indigenous allows the government to do so and is fair for both

Improve urban commuter transportation systems and start working towards high speed hyperloop rail systems between cities.

 @9CSH8HQfrom Vermont  answered…1yr1Y

Only local and/or provincial governments when it comes to inter provincial travel. Federal can be involved when inter-provincial.

 @9CF74WNfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Allow Provinces to look at how the spending should be handled and offer them supports if required.

 @9C7KG9Qfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

We should work toward making private vehicles more affordable, lower the price of gasoline and expand roadways to be more commuter friendly.

 @8VN68SHfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

I think the government should invest in public transport, but what kind of transport should be up to each city, whether they want commuter rails or not.
