Yes, and there should be a maximum voting age after which voters get disenfranchised. If you have no stake in the future, your opinion does not matter.
@9W7HR936mos6MO
Yes but with strict regulations on political marketing to teens and requirements for education that is as unbiased as possible
@9D8TS7BNew Democratic2yrs2Y
Yes, anyone who pays taxes and passes a basic test demonstrating understanding of politics should be allowed to vote
@8ZLBPMZ3yrs3Y
Any citizen who can pass a basic test should be allowed to vote
@8X8FXZ93yrs3Y
yes, it should be lowered to 17 ish
@8V8Z68P4yrs4Y
I believe Canadian citizens aged 16 and over should be allowed to vote.
@8V2H4LH4yrs4Y
Yes, tax payers able to demonstrate their understanding of politics through a basic test should be able to participate.
@8THSDYH4yrs4Y
Yes, Maybe they can lower the age to 17 instead of 18, but also no because, girls would just pick someone like Trudeau because to them he is cute.
@8RZYF3M4yrs4Y
yes, but have more intense education course in schools before hand
@8QR7G7V4yrs4Y
No because before voting you must become more mature and more independent in order to not treat an election like a joke, a good example of what happens when you treat and election like a joke is Donald trump who is not only a tax evader and racist but also a rapist and that absolutely makes me sick to my stomach
@8QLZ6T74yrs4Y
It should be lowered, but a baseline test should be administered to all voters
@8QBPS524yrs4Y
depending on the circumstances. in america, the reelection of trump would’ve hurt/affected LGBT/POC and their communities. minors were watching their rights be debated. in an instance like that, i think the vote should be lowered to 16. plus my generation seems to understand politics and the importance of having good representatives
@8QB4ZLN4yrs4Y
No but elderly should not be allowed to vote because their opinions are outdated
@8PXX99S4yrs4Y
You should be able to vote at 16
@8PKB57X4yrs4Y
No, but stop taxing those underage that can’t vote
@8PK9B8F4yrs4Y
No, but only because we aren’t properly educated on democracy and all matters that surround it.
@8PK87HQ4yrs4Y
Yes. Age is not a sign of maturity. We should give opportunities to younger and involved citizens.
@8NZTCXK4yrs4Y
yes but voters should provide basic knowledge of political topics
@8DTHR6BNew Democratic5yrs5Y
Yes but voters should be required to pass a basic test demonstrating their understanding of politics and basic economic, and socioeconomic principles in order to vote.
@8CFHMDM5yrs5Y
No, but we shouldn’t tax underage workers since they can’t vote.
@98VYSK92yrs2Y
A maximum voting age should be put in place. Someone with no stake in the future should have a vote on those who it will affect.
@98QNBF4New Democratic2yrs2Y
Yes, but there should be a basic test demonstrating one’s understanding of politics for anyone able to vote.
@7PTCG383yrs3Y
No, it should be raised to age 21
@87W9GJ44yrs4Y
If they're under 18 and pay taxes, they have the right to vote. Or they shouldn't be taxed
@7PTCG383yrs3Y
No, it should be raised to age 21 to help ensure a more informed voting public
@spaceUnicorn0183yrs3Y
Yes, any citizen that is able to pass a basic test demonstrating their understanding of politics should be allowed to vote
@7PTCG383yrs3Y
No, it should be raised to age 21 to help ensure a more well-informed, tax paying voter
@8QDSNZY4yrs4Y
Personally I'm satisfied with the current voting age but if the majority of the people support a lower voting age I will support the popular will of the people.
@7PV36BB4yrs4Y
Leave it up to the states but set the range at 16-18
