35% of the unhoused population in Canada is indigenous despite only 5% of the Canadian population being indigenous because they do not have anyone to go to to get help.

what about japanese funding? forget what we did to them? yes what was don’t to indigenous peoples was wrong but let’s not bend over backwards for them.

Natives have access to Canadian society, they should integrate into it and preserve their culture themselves.

It has been many generations since the acts of violence have happened the people who are alive now didn’t commit these acts why do they still need to receive money for a resolved issue.

 @B465T6Kfrom Alberta  disagreed…1mo1MO

there is no more money to give that would help make their culture better that is in the initiative of the people. No amount of money can fix what's broken in their culture they need to correct those problems through human to earth healing.

that they are being given too much of a break and in doing so can create a lazy society where nobody wants to work making taxes more for the people that do work.

if they arent a part of our society and fall under the control of our government they shouldnt recieve money from our government

the past is the past i have npthing aganst natives but they wernt alive when all of the stuff happened to them so they dont need money they can be like very other working person in this contry they dont need spiecial treatment

 @9FTYFFNfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

They should be treated as financially equal to all other non-Indigenous citizens. Maybe the government can offer different means (such as education) to help them become or continue being productive members of society. Since they are already exempt from taxes, there should be no additional financial assistance given when the rest of the country is also in despair.

 @9FWFRYHfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

they have gotten enough money already even though we can't change the past and the terrors that the people that have gone to thoses school it has been long enough of helping them we can't do anything else we have given them their land back and tried to make them happy but canada is running out of stuff to give them.

There comes a point where everyone in life needs to take responsibility for their own actions and stop being "woe is me"

 @B4X8GRNfrom Alberta  disagreed…4 days4D

They have more than enough funding...they can get their own jobs and pay for their own education etc. Same as all other canadians
