They arent always using the money for good causes. also its been so long that people havent been directly affected anymore

 @B4PFBTSfrom British Columbia  disagreed…2wks2W

The government already gives natives more rights than any other citizen in Canada. I think it's a waste of federal funds that could be allocated elsewhere.

 @B4MK2G9from Ontario  disagreed…2wks2W

Why should the government give tax-payer provided handouts to people who's ancestors suffered oppression decades ago?

 @B46SSKWfrom Alberta  disagreed…1mo1MO

It has been many generations since the acts of violence have happened the people who are alive now didn’t commit these acts why do they still need to receive money for a resolved issue.

 @B465T6Kfrom Alberta  disagreed…1mo1MO

there is no more money to give that would help make their culture better that is in the initiative of the people. No amount of money can fix what's broken in their culture they need to correct those problems through human to earth healing.

They are still just people and do not deserve any more or less funding than any one else. by giving them more funding and claiming that it is "equality" is not true. by gaining them more you are defunding equality.

That it just isn't necessary, they're equal to everyone else so let them compete with everyone else on the same terms.

 @B2GYSGXfrom Ontario  disagreed…3mos3MO

Our current citizens and government had nothing to do with any crimes/negative behaviours towards the Native community. There is no reason to use taxpayer dollars and/or increase our national debt to provide funding for people.

We are not responsible to give our hard earned money to people who are not contributing to our society and lead my province in crime and drug use.

 @9Z9DKDQfrom Ontario  disagreed…6mos6MO

They’ve been getting handouts for 100 years and still haven’t done a thing. They don’t pay taxes and act like they aren’t part of Canada but then take the governments money anyway.

 @9YKV9VLConservativefrom Quebec  disagreed…6mos6MO

I believe they need to help them distribute the money better / more evenly to the band offices across Canada. No give more.

 @9GR8M7Rfrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

Personally I do not think it is fair, I understand what our country did to the Indigenous people was horrible but its not fair to be giving them thousands of dollars when everyone else gets nothing besides getting excessively taxed.

 @B24BC3Zfrom Ontario  disagreed…5mos5MO

If you think they still need funding, you are saying that they are incapable of operating on their own like the rest of society, which is racism. They should have the exact same rights as any citizen of Canada

 @B4WFHNRConservative from Ontario  disagreed…5 days5D

They have enough funding already and I don't believe they want to be coddled.just provide them clean drinking water.
