Lower the income tax rate for below 500k household income, raise taxes on total compensation for over 1 million and remove all existing tax loopholes for large corporations

Canada requires a complete review and reform of the entire tax system. Poor and mid earners are overtaxed and corporations are undertaxed. Canadians are tax poor. Restriction on spending by any federal government should be enacted and all spending should be voted on. Diverting taxe revenue to government speanding needs to end. All tax revenue needs to be alloctaed to where the tax is marked to go such as heathcare. Healthcare has had tax revenue dicerity for far too laong and is underfunded becuase of it.

 @9STKB35from Alberta  answered…8mos8MO

No because you work hard to do what you do or be who you are and they should be able to take more but they can't take to little because then we would all have more problems

 @92JWQPCNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and lower taxes on the poor, and remove all existing tax loopholes for large corporations

 @8YCQ2VPNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes. The rich should be taxed according to their excess money and loopholes for large corporations must be removed.

 @8Y8FRBDNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as it is ridiculous to require populaces of lower financial standards to be the backbone of the rich and government financial markets

 @8WLRLTFfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

I support raising taxes on corporations and wealthy billionaires; however, ideally we would democratize the workforce, eliminating the need to tax the rich as there would be no ultra-wealthy class.

 @8VX4GH4New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only if they make over a certain amount, like 1 million dollars

 @8VWS6PQfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

yes, as the new democrat party said, raise taxes for the rich and remove all loopholes

 @8VRZPJVNew Democraticfrom Saskatchewan  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, and greatly increase the budget for the CRA to go after tax dodgers.

 @8VRNQWMLiberalfrom New Brunswick  answered…4yrs4Y

They should add a new system that taxes corporations CEOs differently then someone working at Tim’s. It needs to be completely re-designed

 @8VRFDM6from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

The the amount of taxes the rich pay should vary depending on their income

Lower the taxes for the poor and remove tax loopholes for large corporations

 @8VKKSCLNew Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

I think it depends on the location, property owned, and the community area in which the person lives. I don’t think the taxes should be raised on all rich people, as it should depend on current bills and finances, and if it is affordable for the Canadian government and the family/person(s) who owns it.

 @8V9DCT5New Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

We should first make sure the rich are even paying their taxes and then re-evaluate.

 @8V8LQD4New Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8V6VN9Sfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

lower the taxes for lower incomes and remove all existing loopholes for everyone.

 @8TZ28ZVfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TVZNSRNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Increasing taxes to the rich is ineffective, should focus on ensuring the people with the most money pay taxes.

 @8TVYWZ6New Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only for individuals making more then $150k a year or family’s making more then $250k a year

 @8TD4K2Qfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8T9HJCTNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No HST for anyone making under $ 50,000 and close tax loopholes for large corporations and people making over $ 150,000.

 @8T4XK6Pfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Reduce income tax for all tax brackets. Create a land tax instead of the current property tax to discourage property hoarding. Keep the corporation tax and raise it from 26.5% to 27%. Lower capital gains tax from 50% to 25% as well as matches inflation costs. Lower the federal sales tax from 5% to 4%.

I think if your working harder to get ahead you shouldn't be charged extra because your hard earned money is needed by someone els who possibly isn't trying as hard

 @8PQYYJ7New Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

I think the ones who work the hardest in the middle class or even rich don't deserve to pay more taxes than someone who collects all their from the government. it's not fair we work hard o they can get free money. I'm not speaking of someone specific just in general.

 @8KLCJ9TNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, and Canada should remove all existing loopholes for large corporations/rich people, and throw the book at entity that commits tax evasion.

 @8HPSK5WNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, however create a system in which the higher your income you have the higher your income tax is and in the opposite as well, making a system in which stabilizes people who are struggling and makes it equal in the sense that rich people have it easier tax wise.

 @8DDJKTQfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

there should only be one class the working class the capitalist class is not needed

 @8CKGYRVfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

 @9CS3LQGNew Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9C7YSQRNew Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and there should be a limit of how much wealth you are allowed to accumulate (you cannot have a net yearly income of over 1 billion dollars, anything iver 1 billion goes to taxes, no matter how much.)

 @99HH6R5New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and remove all existing tax loopholes for large corporations and track where government funding goes, but put funding towards social programs to help individuals out of the underlying cause of their poverty.

Raise taxes on Millionaires and Billionaires to lower the tax burden on the poor or those looking to make an honest living. The Millionaires and Billionaires should still be able to keep a portion of their wealth, but they should not have so much money to do
