Should the government forgive up to $20,000 of student loan debt?

If there is a good reason behind not being able to pay the debt back then it should be partially forgiven

Unless the student abuses the system then it cannot be let go. But, if the student has problems and is trying to pay the debt off, they should lower the amount he has to pay, as they will pay taxes and such in the future anyways.
